Female stories of displacement. From dialogue to action
Support: the initiative is supported as part of the project "Strengthening the Participation of Civil Society in the Work of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine in the Process of National Reconcilliation", which is fudned by the Conflict, Security and Stabilisation Fund UK.
The aim of the project: to create the space of support for internally displaced women (IDPs) in the city of Kiev by analysing their needs and looking for joint solutions by means of community theatre.
The duration: January-April 2016.
The stages of the project: 3-day Forum Theatre workshop for displaced women from Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea, leading to creation of the Forum Theatre play based on the experience of women-IDPs (January-February); performance of the play for the general public, discussion of the issues displayed and search for the solutions (February). Three key topics/issues would be identified as the result of these performances and discussions. These issues and needs would be the foundation for further meetings and actions (March). As the result of diverse activities a platform for women-IDPs support will be created, where women can exchange experience, contacts, knowledge and provide support and empathy to other women (April and further).
